On December 30, 1918, Shanghai sent a postcard from Guling, Jiangxi Province. The postcard was sent via the Yangtze River postal route and when passing through Jiujiang, it was inspected and stamped with a Chinese and English inspection stamp.

Rare Guiyang Inspection Stamp

Postby XiaoH » Tue Jun 11, 2024 5:11 am

On August 30, 1917, Guiyang sent a postcard to the Xishiku Catholic Church in Beijing, with a 3-cent sailboat stamp on the front and a date stamp on the back of the English and Chinese waist frame in Guiyang Prefecture, with the Beijing September 16 arrival stamp on the back. When this letter was sent out, it coincided with China's declaration of war on Germany and Austria, and the inspection of foreign mail began.
There is an oval orange full English "Passed by Kweiyang Censor" inspection stamp on the back cover. The English is handwritten and similar to the Yunnan Provincial Inspection Stamp. I have only seen this one so far, it is very rare
