Gangtok Censor Station

Postby lepeutb » Mon Apr 02, 2018 4:42 pm

In the book of Konrad Morenweiser, the censor station for mail from Nepal to Tibet was open in Darjeeling from september 1939 to August 1940. He also explain that later, the censor office was in operation in Gangtok from may 1942 to december 1943.
I have some covers from Nepal to Tibet with censor marks from 1942 to 1943. But there is no cancellation with the name of Gangtok on the covers. I am looking for a copy of the text from the British government with more informations about the Gangtok censor station. When it was open in 1942 and when the censor station close. If a member of the CCSG have some informations about Gangtok censor station, I would be very happy to have these informations.
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
Bruno LE PEUT
